Bloggers

I'm not the only person who thinks that serious arts commentary is moving wholesale to the internet. Blogging is go! It's even happening in theatreland (poets migrated to the web years ago, being a minority even among minorities). I've (finally) blogrolled some interesting theatre blogs that I've stumbled across in my cyberwanderings; all American so far, bar the English Encore Magazine. The links are in the sidebar: be sure to check them out.

Alison,

Many thanks for adding my blog to your blogroll! I've enjoyed what I've seen on yours so far (and you seem to have the same predilection to writing longish essays as I do); I'll be sure to add you to mine and check back regularly.

Best,
George

Thanks for visiting, George - I must say, I was encouraged to find your blog (Superflutiies, for anyone else reading this), and do enjoy it. As for the longish essays - well, where else can I put them...?

I just started my own blog called "Theatre Ideas" (http://theatreideas.blogspot.com/) and have linked to yours. I am enjoying what you've written, and look forward to reading even more!

All best,
Scott

"Theatre Ideas" - now, there's a revolutionary concept! (I suppose I should put a smiley after that). I look forward to seeing your blog evolve, Scott - and thanks for dropping in.

Let me join my drama-blogging colleagues in welcoming you as we expand (create?) the field.

And thank you for the link. As a half-aussie myself (yes, that rare ethnic grouping here of Australian-American) I'm thrilled to have the publicity down under and hope all my mates there will sheck out what their distant cousin in the states is saying.

Hi Garrett - thanks very much for dropping in! I've been following your coverage of the Shakespeare debate with great interest, btw - and only recently watched the Ian McKellan/Judy Dench Macbeth - and am able to heartily agree with your assessment of it.
